I chose this reading material to follow up and reinforce what I had learned in the lesson on sentence combining with Bill Strong that I had enjoyed so much.

The enjoyable lesson on sentence combining with Bill Strong was the reason I chose this reinforcing literature to follow up on the information.

Okay, I do think this is useful information. Though there are critics of sentence combining, all the studies either show that it is very helpful, a little helpful or no change. So, it can't hurt to use some of these activities and they are mostly fun. Weaving in sentence combining a couple times a week, perhaps as a warm-up, can only add positive things to our lessons.
I was intrigued by his reference to the use of sentence combining in Foreign Language classes. I will be able to use several of the models he presented. I can generate additional material by using his suggestions for creating original SC exercises.
I always like doubling up on information. Having listened to Bill Strong's presentation the information in this booklet was much easier to assimilate.
